Position - CMM-Engineer in Quality Department
Location-Chakan, Pune
Required Qualification: - Diploma/BE/B-Tech
Job purpose/objective: -
- Timely completion of Measurement as per plan
- Programming and operation of CMM Machine.
- Calibration and Control of measurement and test equipment.
- Analysis & Presentation of measurement data
- Management of historical measurement data.
General Skills/Requirements:-

- Rational & pragmatic in detailed discussions / debates;
- Ability to think through proposals & ramifications;
- Cp, Cpk & GD&T basic level knowledge
- PC literate (MS Office).
- Previous experience of CMM programming and operation
- Presentation of measurement data and interpretation of Reports.
- Reading of engineering data.( Drawings )
- Use and reading of manual measuring equipment.
- handling, storage, and maintenance of checking fixtures.
Job Responsibilities and Major Activities / Tasks:
- Ensure availability of parts for measurement as per daily measurement plan
- Dimensional measurement on CMM with respect to CAD. Provide accurate measurement reports and parts assessment in a timely manner.
- Ensure measurement equipment is calibrated and maintained in accordance with required timescales.
- Ensure checking fixtures are correctly stored and maintained;
- Quick communication of all quality-related issues to Line Quality Auditor and Team Leader
- In case of dimensional deviation observed in part, Block parts in the SAP system and fix the required identification label on suspected parts
- Presentation of measurement reports analysis in a daily meeting
- Support continuous improvement on the line;
- Support the development of the necessary practices required for the company to maintain IATF 16949 certification and customer requirements
- Creation and Updation of SPC trend as per CMM report
- Update CMM measurement plan boards; 5S in CMM area.
- Discussion between shifts for quality issues/concerns;
- Conduct SPC, MSA, and Calibration as per plan
- Any other ad-hoc duties as required;
- To follow the rules & instructions made under EMS, QMS & 5S
